• Alexander County awarded $50,000 grant from NCRR (taylorsvilletimes.com) — Alexander County commissioners have accepted a $50,000 North Carolina Railroad Company grant to study expanding the Alexander Industrial Park, while also approving a rezoning on Owen Braswell Road in Taylorsville to allow a manufactured home. The board reviewed upcoming property reappraisal standards, adjusted budgets for law enforcement and social services, and set its next public meeting for September 14 at the CVCC Alexander Center for Education.
