• Job Fair Scheduled In Alexander County (whky.com) — Taylorsville residents, especially veterans, can explore new career options at the Alexander County Veterans Job Fair on Thursday, October 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the CVCC Alexander Applied Technologies Center. Dozens of employers and support agencies will be on hand, offering job opportunities and resources for people with disabilities, veterans, and other job seekers. 
• Alexander Central Reigns Over South Iredell (860wacb.com) — Alexander Central’s football team from Taylorsville rolled past South Iredell 24-7 in Troutman, highlighted by a strong passing night from quarterback Jacob Hubbard and a big rushing performance from Jaquis Parks. The Cougars, now 4-1, controlled the game despite penalties and injuries, and will head into a bye week with renewed momentum after Pruett’s impressive return from injury.
