• Crews searching for missing swimmer at North Topsail Beach (wwaytv3.com) — Emergency crews are continuing to search off North Topsail Beach for a 24-year-old Laurinburg man who disappeared Monday afternoon after entering the water to help a drifting child near Beach Access No. 3. Multiple local agencies used boats, jet skis, drones, and sonar before suspending operations Monday evening due to weather, with the child and a family member taken to the hospital for treatment.
