Residents can also join a family Color Run, kids’ cooking contest, and help shape future offerings through a community survey or by attending the July 29 planning meeting. 
• Larry Preston Dishmond (iredellfreenews.com) — Troutman readers are notified of the passing of Larry Preston Dishmond, a longtime Iredell County resident who once owned an industrial supply business in Troutman. His family will hold a private memorial later, and friends are encouraged to honor him with donations to Homes For Our Troops instead of flowers.
