• John Gorman Jepsen (sanilaccountynews.com) — Vass is mourning the passing of longtime resident John Gorman Jepsen, who died July 27 after three decades of life on a small horse farm he and his wife built here. A retired Detroit police officer and Army veteran, he was known locally for his love of horses, woodworking, and family gatherings. Friends can share memories and condolences online through Boles Funeral Home.
