• WPD Captures Wilmington Theft Suspects (columbuscountynews.com) — Whiteville Police arrested two local residents after a short high-speed chase and foot pursuit Monday, following a traffic stop on a vehicle suspected in an earlier Wilmington robbery. Officers intercepted the car entering Whiteville from U.S. 74-76, stopped it near Ward Street, and jailed both suspects on a mix of local and New Hanover County charges.
