Deputies had found an 86-year-old woman dead from a gunshot wound at a Sanderling Place home on August 11, and investigators are treating the case as a murder and attempted suicide.

Lowe's Home Improvement gets shunned in home state over contract with notorious surveillance vendor, Flock (fightforthefuture.org) β Protesters gathered outside the Wilmington Lowe's to oppose the company's use of Flock license plate surveillance cameras in its parking lots, part of a national week of action. Organizers argue the technology invites warrantless tracking and data sharing with government agencies, and say Wilmington is joining cities nationwide in pressuring Lowe's to drop the partnership.
