Jurors convicted him of attempted first-degree murder and related charges, while separate cases involving other defendants and the victim's later killing continue in New Hanover County courts.
3. Hoggard men's soccer opens conference play with 4-2 win over New Hanover (wwaytv3.com) — Hoggard High's men's soccer team opened conference play in Wilmington with a 4-2 win over New Hanover at Legion Stadium, featuring two goals each from James McLean and Tre Bennett.
