Join Wilmington Water Tours for a presentation of Outlander in the Cape Fear with Hunter Ingram, Asst. Dir. at Burgwin-Wright Museum. In conjunction with “Burgwin-Wright Presents…Outlander in the Cape Fear” and based on the books by Diana Gabaldon and TV series, Hunter will share how Scottish settlers, played a significant role in the early history of NC and how Wilmington played a role in the series--all while cruising the Cape Fear River. 
Boarding is 15 minutes prior to departure. Our full bar offers snacks and refreshments for all ages. This is a popular cruise and will sell out, 90 minutes, $40.

Along with the expertise of Jill Peleuses, we have three bird guides and binoculars aboard to help you spot and identify the bird species on this one-of-a-kind Cape Fear River tour!

Join us as we head up the Northeast Cape Fear River to the upper
reaches of the black water system of this storied river. An ideal way to spend
a Saturday morning relaxing while Captain Doug Springer shares his extensive knowledge
about the river, its history and the beautiful scenery. The Northeast Cape
Fear River is still largely unpopulated and looks much as it did when
Wilmington was colonized in the late 1600s. We will cruise through the
Castle Hayne Aquifer and by the bluffs of the Rose Hill Plantation.
Visit our full bar for a freshly brewed cup of coffee or for the
best Bloody Mary on the river. Photographers, birders and nature buffs
love the variety of wildlife and native plants that adorn the river banks. You
may possibly see osprey, alligators, sea turtles, even dolphin, just to name a
few. Bring your camera to capture the untouched beauty of this early morning
almost 2 hour adventure.
Get to know our river better on this specialty cruise which is
offered on the first Saturday of each month. This is a great adventure for
families and children. $30. Boarding 15 minutes prior.
