Brightmore of Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC,— <a href="https://www.brightmoreofwilmington.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Brightmore of Wilmington</a>, a leading senior living community and trusted local resource, will host its 1st Vendor Fair on Thursday, May 8, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
Designed to connect older adults, families, and caregivers with valuable local services, the Vendor Fair will bring together a wide range of experts and community partners in one convenient setting. 
“Brightmore has always been committed to serving as a resource not only for our residents, but for the greater Wilmington community,” said May Heath, Sales and Marketing Director at Brightmore. “This event is a meaningful way to introduce people to the trusted partners and experts who can support them through every stage of aging.”
Guests are encouraged to stroll the campus, visit vendor tables, ask questions, and gather helpful information in a welcoming, relaxed environment. The Cool Beans Coffee Truck will be on site, serving complimentary hot coffee throughout the event.

A soulful, heart-opening experience through music and mantra, Kirtan is the practice of praising the Divine through guided call-and-response chanting. Experience a deeper soul connection to yourself and others through the healing energy of song — no signing experience required!
Set in the peaceful space of Unity Spiritual Center, this class offers a chance to quiet the mind, regulate the body, and uplift your spirit. Join us as we share in a powerful sense of community.Come as you are, leave feeling reenergized, grounded, and deeply connectedOption to bring your own instrument if you feel called or you can simply share your voice. 
Leah is a Wilmington-based yoga teacher, Kirtan leader, and host of the On the Mat podcast. Since recommitting to her practice in 2020, she has trained globally - including in Bali and India - earning her 500hr RYT designation and certification in Vinyasa, Yin, Pre/Postnatal Yoga, and meditation. She is passionate about sharing these beautiful, sacred practices and making them accessible to all!
All classes are offered on a sliding scale ($16–$25). Pre-registration required.

Outlander In The Cape Fear&nbsp;&nbsp;Two cruises--one at 10 a.m. and one at 12 Noon.&nbsp; $40. Join Wilmington Water Tours for a presentation of Outlander in the Cape Fear with Hunter Ingram, Asst. Dir. at Burgwin-Wright Museum. In conjunction with “Burgwin-Wright Presents…Outlander in the Cape Fear” and based on the books by Diana Gabaldon and TV series, Hunter will share how&nbsp;Scottish settlers, played a significant role in the early history of NC and how&nbsp;Wilmington played a role in the series--all while cruising the Cape Fear River.&nbsp;There is a second cruise at Noon on this day as well.
