The agreement boosts pay significantly for bus operators and other staff, following a threatened strike this summer, which should help retain drivers and support reliable service for Akron commuters.

Federal grand jury indicts Ohio man on drug trafficking charge (news-expressky.com) — A man listed as living on Valdes Avenue in Akron has been indicted by a federal grand jury on a serious drug trafficking charge after an August traffic stop in Kentucky. Troopers say they found suspected methamphetamine, fentanyl, and other drugs in his vehicle and clothing, and he now faces potential decades in prison if convicted.
