Avon High Football Advances To Regional Championship
The undefeated Eagles have marched into the Region 6, Division II regional championship game.

AVON, OH — The undefeated, 12-0 Avon Eagles will march into the Regional Finals for Division II, Region 6 football on Friday night. The team dispatched Highland High School 28-10 last week. Waiting for Avon in the championship game is Olmsted Falls, 11-1.
All Division II regional final games will be played Friday at 7:30 p.m. The game between Avon and Olmsted Falls will be played at North Ridgeville Ranger Stadium, 34600 Bainbridge Rd. Regional championship trophies will be presented that same night to the winning teams.
To arrive at the regional championship, the Olmsted Falls Bulldogs squeaked by previously undefeated Wadsworth High School, 21-20. The Bulldogs lone loss on the season actually came at home against Avon.

The two teams matched-up Sept. 1, the second week of the 2017 regular season. The Eagles crush Olmsted Falls, 31-7. Avon will be looking to repeat that result Friday, while Olmsted Falls looks for revenge.
Should Avon win the game Friday night, they'll advance to state championship play in Canton. Tickets for state championship games are now on-sale. Parking passes are not sold.
