Avon High School grad is a TV Sports Intern in Mobile, Alabama

Adriana Stockard (Class of 2024 Avon High School) is a Sports Intern this summer at WKRG News 5 in Mobile, Alabama.

In high school, Stockard was on the varsity lacrosse team and also created media content. She is on track to graduate from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University in 2028.

In college, Stockard has been on the dean’s list for her academic performance and gained broadcasting experience as executive director of Ohio Hockey Network.

As a summer intern in Mobile, Stockard covered the return of its pro hockey team.

“It felt like fate,” she said, recalling her work covering hockey at Ohio University. “I’d come all the way down South and still get to cover the sport I love.”
