Blessing House, the House With a Heart, is celebrating 10 years and 1,000 children with a special theme for their annual Rock-a-Bye Ball. This year’s theme is “There’s No Place Like Blessing House.” The annual gala promises to be an extra-special evening of fine dining, dancing and entertainment. It will be held on Saturday, November 8th, 2014 at Tom’s Country Place in Avon.
For their 10 year milestone, Blessing House will honor extraordinary people and organizations who have supported them for all or most of its 10 years. A first-ever “A Carat for the Kids” diamond ring raffle is also taking place. A stunning 1 carat diamond ring donated by Ron Levit Jewelers will be raffled that evening. Other raffles are available, such as a $1,000 shopping spree at Peter & Co. Jewelers, a Crocker Park Shopping Spree or an extensive array of refreshments in the Stock Your Bar raffle. The Silent Auction will feature over 100 items ranging in value from $50 to $1,000 including unique entertainment experiences, exclusive sports team events, special spa/beauty packages, and other fun and exciting items for all ages. Live Auction items include a vacation rental in Vail, Cavaliers tickets, and more.
Blessing House has helped over 1,000 children in the past 10 years – 184 children this year alone. Children age newborn to twelve years are provided with a loving, safe place to stay and are cared for while their family works through a serious crisis. Blessing House keeps families together and gives them hope.
