LifeShare Community Blood Services is reaching out to community members to be a hero and donate blood to benefit local and area hospitals.
Every Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., LifeShare will be accepting donations at its Olde Firehouse, 100 Avon Belden Rd., location in Avon Lake.
The community blood bank also accepts blood at its other blood drive/neighborhood donor centers in Lorain, Elyria, Middleburg Heights and Canton.
