• Boys soccer: Avon scores early, settles for tie with Bay (chroniclet.com) — Avon's defending state champion boys soccer team struck just 59 seconds into last night's home match but had to settle for a 1-1 draw with Bay after a penalty-kick equalizer. Despite outshooting Bay and generating late chances, coach Chris Dore said the Eagles still have "a lot of work to do" as they regroup from last year's title run.
