U12 Travel Baseball Try-out,

Avon Lake Riptide 12U is a local travel team playing in the Cuyahoga Valley Baseball Association league. There are 2 divisions within the CVBA, bid & non-bid. Riptide will be non-bid, which is the lower division. Team will play approximately 21 league games, plus 2 or 3 tournaments. Away games are typically under 30 minutes away, w/ the periodic longer trip (Strongsville or Hudson). Home games are played at Weiss Field.

The organizational goal is to provide kids the opportunity to develop core baseball skills, play higher level baseball experience, and HAVE FUN.

What: Tryout - coaches will be hosting to fill 6 spots on roster. There will be 5 areas of focus:

· Hitting

· Fielding

· Pitching

· Running

· Outfield

Who: 12-year olds (cannot turn 13 prior to 5/1/16)

When: July 25th at 1pm

Where: Weiss Field #2

*Tryout will last an hour or less…please wear cleats, bring glove and preferred bat (if not, we have team bats)*
