Westwinds Fire

McIntyre-Gardner Fire Fund

Dear neighbors,

Some of you may know Jazmine Gardner, a long time Fairview Park resident, who has battled Stage IV cancer twice. As if this young girl hasn't endured more in her young life that most adults do in a life time, she has been struck with tragedy once again. On April 19, 2017, her home caught on fire. While thankfully no humans were home at the start of the blaze, her beloved animals were in the house. Unfortunately, twelve of their beloved pets passed away due to the deadly smoke; despite her fathers best efforts to save them.

This family has lost virtually everything they own, and while the loss of material possessions is devastating under any circumstances, to lose your home, your pets, and every possession you have held close to your heart in one tragic moment is earth shattering.

Not only is this family displaced, they are now forced to live separately in two different locations, while they should be together as a family, to begin healing and to give their two daughters a sense of normalcy. This fire has left this family of four destitute and in need of help. If you are able, please make any monetary donations to the McIntyre-Gardner Fire Fund at any First Federal Lakewood location or at the main branch located at 20425 Center Ridge Road, Rocky River, OH 44116 or at youcaring.com just click on the link https://www.youcaring.com/chantelgardner-811227
