94-Year-Old Woman Killed In Cleveland Home Invasion
The suspect also assaulted a 74-year-old woman that was inside a house near Slavic Village.
CLEVELAND — A 94-year-old woman is dead after a violent home invasion near Cleveland's Slavic Village neighborhood. Police said the woman suffered fatal head trauma after the suspect assaulted her.
The home invasion happened early on Monday morning, at about 1:45 a.m., a Cleveland Police spokesperson said. Two women were inside a home in the 6200 block of Gertrude Avenue when someone broke in and attacked them.
The 94-year-old woman was rushed to MetroHealth after the assault, police said. She died from her injuries at the hospital. A 74-year-old woman is currently confined at Metro with head trauma, police said.

The suspect is described as a 25-year-old black man. He was tall and skinny, police said. The suspect took property from the house.
Cleveland Homicide investigators were notified and responded to the scene. No arrests have yet been made.
