College Football Semifinal Ticket Prices: Ohio State Fans Get Cheaper Seats
The Ohio State-Clemson game costs about $200 less than the Alabama-Washington game, on average.

OHIO - The College Football Playoffs won't necessarily break your bank, and it definitely won't cost you as much as some of the Cleveland Indians' World Series games did. According to ticketIQ, the Ohio State-Clemson game will be cheaper than 10 regular season games and $200 cheaper than the Alabama-Washington game.
The average price of a ticket for the game is currently $269, which is significantly lower than the other semifinal game, the Peach Bowl.
That said, if you're desperate to see the Buckeyes during their impending playoff run, you may want to shell out the coin for the semifinal game. TicketIQ says that championship game tickets are already at their highest average price since 2011. That said, it's not likely to last.

Why the temporarily high prices, then? Alabama and Clemson are both within driving distance of this year's championship game (hosted in Tampa Bay, Florida). If both teams were to make it, prices would likely stay high, or even go higher. If Ohio State manages to knock off Clemson, ticketIQ is predicting prices may come down.
Currently, the get-in price for the championship game is about $700.

The 2015 Ohio State championship game, played in Dallas, Texas, had an average ticket price of $810. Last year's championship game, between Alabama and Clemson, had an average ticket price of $610. But that game was played in Phoenix, Arizona and the distance may have deterred some fans from making the trip.
