Downtown Cleveland streets get colorful makeover and it's changing how drivers get around (news5cleveland.com) — Downtown Cleveland drivers and pedestrians will notice new asphalt art on Huron Road and nearby intersections, which also comes with a reconfigured traffic flow aimed at slowing cars and improving safety. City leaders say the colorful murals are part of a broader push to activate downtown, with more public art, extended farmers markets, food trucks, concerts, and movie nights planned into October.
   

2. RTA awarded $20M in grants to make entire Green Line accessible for people with disabilities (cleveland19.com) — Cleveland RTA riders with disabilities will soon find the entire Green Line fully accessible, thanks to a new $20 million federal grant. The money will rebuild seven aging stations with new ramps, platforms, sidewalks, and parking access, helping make the whole rail system ADA compliant and compatible with RTA's incoming railcar fleet while improving safety for all passengers.
   

3. Dark Divine Announce Headlining Tour With Fire From The Gods (themosh.net) — Cleveland metal and alternative fans can catch Dark Divine's headlining tour when it hits Mahall's on Oct. 27, bringing support from Fire From The Gods and OUTLIER. The fall run promises longer sets and some songs performed live for the first time, making the Lakewood venue stop a key chance to see the band up close before Halloween.
   

4. How the Browns' Stay in the Game Network is addressing literacy rates in Northeast Ohio (news5cleveland.com) — Cleveland-area families can tap into the Browns' Stay in the Game! Attendance Network, which now supports literacy and attendance in more than 100 Northeast Ohio school districts. From Olmsted Falls classroom visits by mascot Chomps to a new Browns-branded Cleveland Public Library card available at local branches, the program aims to make reading fun while tackling chronic absenteeism across the region.
   

5. 'Going through the roof': NE Ohio drivers react to higher gas prices after Labor Day (fox8.com) — Drivers around Cleveland and Northeast Ohio are facing sudden gas price jumps, with some stations charging over $4.25 per gallon and business owners feeling the strain. While national politics and global oil prices are blamed for the spike, AAA urges local motorists to hunt for discounts, drive more efficiently, and maintain their vehicles to squeeze a bit more from every tank.
