Part Of I-77 Will Be Closed In March
I-77, between I-480 and I-490, will be closed while the Harvard Avenue bridge is demolished.

NEWBURGH HEIGHTS, OH — A stretch of I-77 north and south will be closed starting Friday, March 29. That stretch of highway will remain closed until 5 a.m. April 1.
The Ohio Department of Transportation announced that I-77 will be shut down between I-480 and I-490 starting at 8 p.m. that Friday night. Crews will be demolishing the Harvard Avenue bridge over I-77.
Limited local access will be maintained along I-77, ODOT said. Other drivers will be detoured along the Jennings Freeway (aka SR 176).

Drivers entering I-77 north, from entrance north of I-480, will be exited at Grant Avenue. Drivers getting on I-77 south from entrances south of I-490 will be exited at Fleet Avenue.

Harvard Avenue will also be closed for 180 days, starting March 28. The bridge replacement project is being carried out by the Ruhlin Company for $6 million. The entire project should be completed by October 2019.
