1. City lights historic Euclid Beach Park Archway (cleveland19.com) — Cleveland has officially relit the newly restored Euclid Beach Park Archway on Lakeshore Boulevard, preserving a beloved historic entrance while improving the surrounding roadway. Funded through a city bond issue, the delicate 1920s structure was carefully moved 150 feet to donated land and structurally reinforced. Neighbors can now enjoy a safer, brighter lakefront landmark rooted in Cleveland's amusement-park past.
   

2. Court Ruling Shuts Down Hemp Beverage Sales Again (news5cleveland.com) — A new federal appeals court ruling has once again halted sales of THC-infused hemp seltzers in Ohio, forcing Cleveland's Saucy Brew Works to ship its products out of state and threatening local jobs. The company says nearly a quarter of its beverage sales come from these drinks and is urging Ohio to open licensing so it can keep producing and selling legally in Cleveland while court challenges continue.
   

3. Convicted felon sentenced for robbing Cleveland Family Dollar at gunpoint (fox8.com) — A Cleveland man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison, plus five years of supervised release, for robbing the Family Dollar on W. 130th Street at gunpoint in December 2025. Investigators used a GPS tracker hidden in the cash to find him at a nearby Wilton Road home, where they recovered money and a stolen firearm. The case may reassure residents about follow-through on violent crimes.
   

4. Annual Plein Air Paint Out takes place at BAYarts (cleveland.com) — Local artists and art lovers can head just west of Cleveland for BAYarts' Plein Air Paint Out, happening October 2–4 across its Lake Road campus and the Cleveland Metroparks' Huntington Reservation. Adults 18 and older can register to paint outdoors, compete for cash prizes, and show work in the Sally J. Otto Gallery through early November. It's a nearby chance to celebrate Lake Erie scenery with fellow creatives.
