Community Reacts To Big Fun Closing Announcement

Are you going to miss the retro toy store?

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — On Monday, Big Fun owner Steve Presser announced that he would close down Big Fun on Coventry Road. The retro toy store had served as a staple of Northeast Ohio for 27 years, but brick-and-mortar retail's decline hit Big Fun hard.

The community took to social media to react to the closing announcement. The Cleveland Heights-University Heights Libraries posted a heartfelt goodbye to both Big Fun and Presser's business presence in the city.

"We are so sad to hear that our good friend Steve Presser will be closing Big Fun," the library system said on Facebook. "Steve has been a great library supporter, and was always happy to share his knowledge of toys and culture with library customers, and his kindness and sense of fun with anyone who walked through the door of his magical shop. We will miss Big Fun."
