CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH β€” The Heights Libraries are closing all branches temporarily due to concern over the spread of the new coronavirus, COVID-19. The libraries will still serve as polling locations on Tuesday, March 17.

"This was not an easy decision, and not one that library leadership made lightly," a Heights Libraries spokesperson told Patch via email.

Ohio now has at least 13 confirmed cases of new coronavirus, COVID-19, officials announced Friday afternoon. The Ohio Department of Health is waiting on COVID-19 test results for 159 Ohioans.

Three polling locations are being moved in Cleveland Heights to protect elderly residents from the spread of the new coronavirus, COVID-19. The city announced the polling location changes on Friday morning.

Nighttown is closing after this week, the restaurant and music venue announced. All concerts will be postponed and rescheduled later, according to owner Brendan Ring. He said he had a "moral obligation" to close.

Dobama Theatre has canceled this week's performances of "Dance Nation." Decisions on future performances will be made on a week-to-week basis as the theater's board of directors and administrative staff meet.

Heights Arts have suspended all March programming. The Red Champion Gallery concert on March 14 and the Steve Calhoun opening reception on March 26 will be postponed. Officials said they hope to reschedule these events for a later date.

The Heights Community Center will be closed to the public. The facility's closing will be re-evaluated on a weekly basis.
