Officers also resolved a mistaken auto theft report on Lee Road and responded to disorderly conduct incidents involving public intoxication on South Taylor Road and in the Lee Road municipal lot.

• Man says he stole elderly woman's cash to prevent Walmart staff from doing the same (cleveland.com) — A Cleveland Heights man, 76, was cited after South Euclid police say surveillance video showed him removing cash from an 87-year-old woman's wallet at Walmart before turning it in. Officers later recovered the $247 after he returned it, claiming he only took the money to keep store employees from stealing it.

• Surprise Chef Share 'Inside Voice' + 'Outside Voice,' Two-Part Opening To New Album Frogs In A Pond (October 23 / Concord Jazz) (shorefire.com) — Cleveland Heights music fans can catch Australian instrumental quartet Surprise Chef at the Grog Shop on November 20 as part of their North American tour. The band is previewing their new album, Frogs In A Pond, with two cinematic tracks, and the release arrives October 23, giving locals time to explore the music before the live show.
