USA Travel Gets a Fresh Connectivity Boost as Breeze Airways Launches New Nonstop Flights from Dayton to Florida (travelandtourworld.com) — Dayton International Airport now has new twice-weekly nonstop Breeze Airways flights to Fort Lauderdale, with more routes to Fort Myers, Raleigh-Durham, and Sarasota-Bradenton starting later this fall. These additions give Dayton-area travelers more direct options for Florida getaways and North Carolina trips while strengthening the airport's role as a convenient alternative to larger regional hubs.

Dayton man killed in Harshman Road motorcycle crash (whio.com) — A 43-year-old Dayton man, Nathan Carlton, died Friday evening after his motorcycle collided with a car that failed to yield while turning from Harshman Road onto Ramblewood Drive in Riverside. State troopers say speed is suspected as a factor, though the 73-year-old Dayton woman driving the Buick was not injured. The crash shut down the area near the Taco Bell during the investigation.

Co-Features highlight Friday action at Dayton Raceway – U.S. Trotting News (ustrottingnews.com) — Harness racing fans in Dayton saw betting favorites Currys Flurry and Boomarang win their $20,000 condition claiming paces at Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway. Several drivers, including Luke Hanners with four wins, had big nights as the track wrapped up its race week with another 14-race card scheduled for Saturday.

5. 2 men accused of killing 32-year-old Dayton man formally charged (whio.com) — Two men have been formally charged in the May shooting death of 32-year-old Andre Carpenter, a Dayton man killed on North Gettysburg Avenue. Daran and D'Vonte Robinson now face murder and felonious assault charges, with Daran already in custody and D'Vonte still at large. Both are scheduled for a court appearance on October 15 in Montgomery County.
