• GA-ASI Opening New Facility In Dayton, Ohio (aero-news.net) — A major defense contractor is opening a 22,000-square-foot innovation hub in Dayton, expected to create about 50 high-skilled local jobs starting in 2027. Located near Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, the facility will focus on advanced Air Force hardware and software, expanding General Atomics' existing presence and deepening the region's role in cutting-edge aerospace technology.
   

• University of Dayton Issues UD in the News Wrap Up for Sept. 12-18 (targetednews.com) — The University of Dayton is highlighting how its 9/11 remembrance and faculty expertise were featured by outlets ranging from local TV to international and national publications. For Dayton residents, it's a snapshot of how the hometown university's voices are shaping conversations on history, faith, and public affairs well beyond campus.
   

• Leidos joins Anduril in U.S. Air Force design deal (defence-blog.com) — New Air Force research work tied to an $85 million contract will be carried out in Dayton through 2036, focusing on advanced digital tools for designing future aircraft. While funding is task-order based, the long-term VOLARE program strengthens Wright-Patterson–centered research and could support high-tech jobs and collaborations in the region.
