This Central Ohio city is one of the 'worst small cities in the U.S.' according to 'WalletHub' study (614now.com) — Euclid ranks in the bottom 10% of small U.S. cities in a new WalletHub livability study, scoring 49.86 out of 100 and placing 1,189th nationally. The analysis compares more than 1,300 cities on safety, affordability, quality of life, and amenities, with Springfield ranking lowest in Ohio and several Columbus suburbs landing near the top. 
2. Euclid approves zoning change (news-herald.com) — Euclid City Council has approved rezoning a lot at 24995 Lake Shore Blvd. from single‑family to multi‑family use so the property owner can expand parking, not add new apartments. The change, tied to prior litigation, overrode Planning and Zoning Commission opposition and is framed by council as supporting the general welfare and future consistency in similar cases.
3. Woman fails to 'hold to it in' three times during drunk driving arrest in Richmond Heights (cleveland.com) — A 28‑year‑old Euclid woman was arrested in Richmond Heights after officers say she nearly struck their cruiser, showed signs of intoxication, and repeatedly urinated in public and at the jail during processing. Police report this is her third OVI arrest, and she was ultimately transported to a hospital following the incident late on Sept. 26.
4. Woman says Meijer employee wrongfully accused her of theft: Richmond Heights Police Blotter (cleveland.com) — A Richmond Heights police blotter item notes that a 56‑year‑old man was arrested at his Euclid apartment after allegedly stealing a cart of merchandise from a Dollar General on Chardon Road. Officers say stolen items were found in his vehicle and believe he may be linked to other recent store thefts, alongside several unrelated Richmond Heights incidents detailed in the report.
