• 43 Ohio fire departments and agencies are getting hazmat training funding — and one school got half of it (cleveland.com) — Lakewood Fire Department is among 43 Ohio agencies receiving new state funding for hazardous materials training, part of an $800,000 grant program. The money will help local responders better handle dangerous incidents involving transported chemicals, alongside other Northeast Ohio departments and a major award to Cleveland State University.
