The story follows his path from being waived, to teaching and selling real estate, to rejoining Seattle and winning a Super Bowl while keeping a backup career ready. 
• 'We cannot afford this rate increase': Enbridge customers urge utilities commission to reject rate hike (news5cleveland.com) — Lakewood resident Jennifer Fenton joined other Enbridge customers in urging state regulators to reject a proposed $7.60 monthly gas rate hike, warning many households can't absorb higher fixed charges. The Public Utilities Commission is weighing the request, with consumer advocates arguing the increase would hit small homes and struggling families hardest while Enbridge says it's needed for system reliability.
• 43 Ohio fire departments and agencies are getting hazmat training funding — and one school got half of it (cleveland.com) — Lakewood Fire Department is among 43 Ohio agencies receiving new state funding for hazardous materials training, part of an $800,000 grant program. The money will help local responders better handle dangerous incidents involving transported chemicals, alongside other Northeast Ohio departments and a major award to Cleveland State University.
