TODAY Could Be the FIRST Day of Your Smoke-Free Life
The Ohio Quit Line is a free resource

The time for adult tobacco users to quit smoking is now. In 2016, 1.26 million adult Ohioans were current smokers. Tobacco use can significantly weaken an individual's immune system, allowing them to become more vulnerable to illness and disease. In light of COVID-19, public health research has indicated that individuals that use tobacco are at a higher risk of experiencing severe COVID-19 symptoms due to the decrease in immunity and potential damage to the upper respiratory airways.
For adults that are ready to make a change to quit smoking, free help is available. The Ohio Tobacco Quit Line is a free and confidential telephone service that provides coaching and support to all Ohioans at least 18 years or older that want to quit tobacco. Enrolled participants can receive up to eight weeks of nicotine replacement therapy (NRT), if desired. Telephone counseling, web-based chat, and text-messaging are available for enrollees.
Adults that are looking to kick-start a healthier tomorrow can enroll today at 1 - 800 - QUIT-NOW.
