• Apparent suicide victim found in Beaver (crescent-news.com) — Local residents should know that a Beaver man who worked as a corrections officer at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility in Lucasville was found dead on his Pike County property, in what authorities call an apparent suicide. Investigators in Pike and Ross counties are still reviewing circumstances and say an official cause of death will be released when their work is complete. 
• 16 New Scioto County Grand Jury Indictments (sciotocountydailynews.com) — Scioto County’s latest grand jury session includes an indictment of a Lucasville resident on drug-related charges, alongside 15 other defendants from nearby communities. All are presumed innocent, but the list highlights ongoing concerns about violent crime, drugs, and fraud affecting residents across the county, including Lucasville.
