4. Lenael Troy Smith sentenced to 40 years for vicious rape, kidnapping (kentucky.com) — A Mansfield man has been sentenced in Richland County Common Pleas Court to 40 years in prison for a brutal 2025 rape and kidnapping at his Superior Street home. Jurors convicted him on multiple counts after a four-day trial, and a forensic nurse at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital described the victim's injuries as the worst she'd seen. The victim and her family told the court they still live in fear but hope the sentence allows healing to begin.
