Asst Director Resigns, Sex Harassment Prof Fired, Warren Murals

In today's Marietta Morning we look at a city official deciding to step down, a professor stripped of his tenure, and some murals for Warren

Marietta's assistant safety service director resigns: Janelle Patterson of the Marietta Times reports that Assistant Safety-Service Director / Human Resources Director Jeff Skinner is stepping down. He made the announcement on Thursday during a Marietta City Council committee meeting. His last day will be April 30. It yet isn't known who will replace him.

Ohio University Board agrees prof accused of sexual harassment should be fired: David Forster of WOUB reports that the Ohio University board of trustees voted unanimously today that journalism professor Yusef Kalyango should be fired. He'd been found to have sexually harassed two female students. His tenure is to be revoked and he's to be dismissed.

Warren High School is getting new murals: Hannah Stutler of WTAP reports that Warren High School's gym will soon sport two large murals. They're being done by artist Scott Hogan known as the Barn Artist. Both murals will feature warriors, the school's mascot.

Ohio Valley Education Job Fair: Hannah Stutler of WTAP also reported that the Ohio Valley Educational Service Center will be holding its job fair next month. There will be holding interviews on the spot and they're looking for people to fill more than 100 jobs. The event is on May 7 at the Marietta High School gymnasium and auditorium.
