Attempted murder suspect deemed fit to stand trial: Sierah Caldwell is one of three people facing attempted murder charges for the brutal beating of Devon Ours. WTAP reports that this week, Caldwell was declared competent to stand trial. She also faces felonious assault and tampering with evidence charges. Her pretrial is set for August and her trial date is set for September.

Marietta College women's tennis season ends unceremoniously: The Marietta College women's tennis team lost their season's last game on Wednesday. They were beaten 0-9. They finish the season 1-7 overall.

Governor Mike DeWine is looking to increase vaccinations in Ohio: Andy Chow of the Statehouse News Bureau reports that 39% of the state's population has gotten their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Ohio Governor Mike DeWine wants that number to go up, and is looking to create incentives to make that happen. He says the state is looking for ways to encourage more people to get the shot, but there isn't a magic bullet here.

Missing Athens teen pops up online to say she's safe: Cole Behrens of the Athens Messenger reports that they believe missing teenager, Serah Bellar is safe. She was last seen about a year ago, she would be 18-years-old now. This week, the teen is believed to have posted to Facebook under a pseudonym that she was safe and somewhere out West. She posted that she left home of her own volition due to abuse in her household. Local prosecutors say they're looking into the post and will prosecute any crimes they discover.
