While Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has lifted the mask requirements effective June 2 for anyone who is fully vaccinated, the revised order will still require face coverings for health care settings, public transportation, schools and child care providers and congregate settings such as nursing homes and long-term care facilities. For now, both the O’Neill Center in Marietta and Belpre Senior Center will require masks to be worn inside, regardless of vaccination status. Activities at both centers are able to increase capacity and many things that were off limits are now allowed, such as billiards, card games and meals, which will be individually prepared and wrapped for safety.

Due to social distancing requirements, Belpre Senior Center is limited to 48 people inside. Our Welcome Back Seniors party will also utilize our wonderful gazebo and nearby park. Bonnie McGowan, Belpre manager, will use the opportunity to show off the facility and to explain more in-depth our COVID-19 requirements.

Seniors are asked to please call ahead to sign up, 740-423-6022.

We invite members of the press to come and cover our event on June 3, beginning at 11 a.m. Please let me know if you require any further information.
