COVID-19 Update For Washington County

MARIETTA, OH — This is a press release from the Marietta/Belpre Health Department, Memorial Health System, and Washington County Health Department sharing the latest information on COVID-19.

May 21, 2021

Washington County has 5,244 COVID-19 cases, 200 hospitalizations, and 109 deaths to date. Marietta/Belpre Health Department and Washington County Health Department are currently monitoring 73 active cases. According to the Public Health Advisory Alert System, Washington County is now at Alert Level 2 (Orange). Washington County's COVID-19 PCR test positivity rate is 2.7%.

According to the Ohio Department of Health Vaccination Dashboard, 38.38% of Washington County residents and 43.84% of Ohioans received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, and 34.74% of Washington County residents and 38.42% of Ohioans received all CDC recommended doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

COVID-19 vaccines are widely available, several local sites are offering walk-ins in addition to appointments. Everyone 12 years of age and older is eligible to get a COVID-19 vaccination. Currently scheduled clinics are as follows:
