The Washington County Sheriff's Department remembers Deputy Kinzy: Deputy Sheriff Rodney Kevin Kinzy was shot and killed on April 17, 1990. He was killed in a shootout in Noble County as he attempted to warn other officers to seek cover. The sheriff's office tweeted out a memorial in his honor on the anniversary of his end of watch.

Marietta College baseball wins game one, loses game two: On Saturday the Etta Express faced off against Baldwin Wallace. Marietta won game one 7-6 in the 10th inning. However, they lost game two 7-11. The teams play another doubleheader on Sunday. First game is at 1 p.m.

Ohio House Republicans propose a bill to protect the Second Amendment: Jake Zuckerman of the Ohio Capital Journal reports that 14 Ohio Republican lawmakers have signed onto legislation to allow Ohio to nix many federal gun regulations. House Bill 62 would declare any federal law, executive order, administrative action, or court ruling that infringes on the Second Amendment null, void and of no effect in this state.
