1. Marietta College's baseball team is done this year. Yesterday morning they won their way into the NCAA tournament. But they lost to Rowan later on in the day in extra innings. Rowan will move on to the National Championships. (Marietta College)

2. The Washington County Veterans Service Commission will be dedicating their building to the late great Chad Wright. They decided to hold this ceremony on Memorial Day in honor of his service. (Patch)

3. The Belpre pool opens today. Hours are 12-6. (Facebook) A reminder, the Marietta Aquatic Center is now open too.

4. The Marietta Tree Commission has two open seats. Ken Morrison says if you want to help out the city, contact him or the mayor. (Patch)

5. The Washington County Sheriff's Office will be auctioning off vehicles late next week. For a list of the vehicles and miscellaneous items to be bid on click here. (Patch)

Marietta Community Calendar:

- The Washington County Veterans Service Commission is renaming their building on Memorial Day. On Monday the 31st at 4 p.m. there will be a renaming ceremony held in honor of Chad Wright. Details can be found here.

- Henderson Hall Sightseeing on Tuesday, June 1st. This will start at the Valley Gem Landing where you will board the boat and depart at 10:30 a.m. for the Henderson Hall landing. There you will disembark and ride the trolley to the Henderson Hall grounds and tour. More details here.

- There will be a storage auction on Thursday, June 3rd. They will be auctioning off abandoned storage locker contents. More details here.

- First Friday: Art Walk. Marietta Main Street will be holding their First Friday event downtown. This will be a celebration of the community for locals, tourists, and area groups to show off the beautiful downtown of Marietta. More details here.
