Marietta historical tidbit of the day:

There have been four Mariettans who went on to be Governor of Ohio. The first was Return Johnathan Meigs, but the second, and first native Mariettan, was John Brough. He was born in Marietta in 1811 and went on to start a career with the newspaper. He eventually ran for state legislature and won. He also was state auditor. Brough went on to found The Cincinnati Enquirer. He was finally elected to govern Ohio in 1863 but died in 1865 before his first term expired.
