Tree Removals On Marietta's Greene Street

This is a press release from Marietta's Public Works foreman about tree removals on the 1100 block of Greene Street tomorrow.

MARIETTA, OH — Here is a news release about tree removals on the 1100 block of Greene Street from Todd Stockel, foreman for the Marietta Public Works Department.

The Public Works Department will be removing trees in front of 1113, 1117, 1121,1125,1129,1133, and 1135 Greene Street. Work will begin Fri. August 20 at 8:00 a.m., weather permitting. The 1100 block will be channeled down to one lane of traffic during this project and it will be maintained with traffic control. A detour will be posted to allow equipment and vehicles access to the area.

The west-bound traffic lanes will be asked to go up Holly and make a left onto Oakwood to get around the project. Larger trucks will be allowed to a single lane of traffic thru Greene St. The work is expected to be completed by Friday, Aug., 20th. Please avoid the area if at all possible.
