• Michigan's Davis Surges on Day 2 for Win at Phoenix Bass Fishing League Two-Day Super Tournament at Lake Erie (anglerschannel.com) — Oxford resident Seth Fricke cracked the top 10 at a tough Phoenix Bass Fishing League Super Tournament on Lake Erie, landing 10 bass for 28 pounds, 14 ounces and earning $600. The two-day event in Sandusky drew strong regional competition, with Michigan's Matthew Davis taking the overall win and several southwest Ohio anglers placing high in both boater and co-angler divisions.
   

• Lebanon mayor questions Flock software controls in letter to company (wlwt.com) — Oxford City Council recently voted to end its Flock license plate reader program, joining several other area communities that have backed away from the technology. Now Lebanon's mayor is pressing Flock with detailed questions about software controls and safeguards, while emphasizing support for his police department's conduct. The debate could influence how nearby cities think about camera-based policing.
