• OPD responds to several reports of alcohol-related violations during Miami's first week of classes (oxfreepress.com) — Oxford Police documented a busy Aug. 24–31, with multiple underage drinking citations, several OVI arrests, and incidents involving fake IDs around town. Officers also handled scams, a reported apartment intrusion, property damage and domestic disputes, offering residents a snapshot of safety concerns as Miami University's fall semester gets underway. 
• 100 years of service: Oxford Kiwanis celebrates a century of giving back (oxfreepress.com) — Oxford's Kiwanis Club is marking 100 years of service with an Oct. 30 centennial dinner and new benches and trees along the Oxford Area Trails System. The group continues to fund Talawanda school programs, TOPSS, youth leadership clubs and beloved traditions like Pancake Day and the Back to School Bash, drawing hundreds of local families into community service.
