📰 News we're reading

• What to know about the delegation from Dubno, Ukraine coming to Oxford this month (oxfreepress.com) — Oxford residents will soon host six delegates from sister city Dubno, Ukraine, who'll stay in local homes and join a packed schedule around town from Sept. 18–25. Expect them at Talawanda's football game, OXtoberfest, city facilities, Miami University, and a closing celebration at the Oxford Community Arts Center, all under a new ceremonial flag flying over Uptown Parks.

• New count shows slight decline in Oxford's homeless population (oxfreepress.com) — Oxford's latest homelessness count shows a slight decline, but local outreach workers and service providers say the real number of unhoused neighbors is likely higher. They highlight gaps in the Point-in-Time count, rising rents, limited vouchers, and the need for more landlords to accept assistance so low-income Oxford and Talawanda families can stay housed.
