• North Ridgeville residents protest outside of Council meeting in response to 'urban' county designation (chroniclet.com) — North Ridgeville residents packed City Hall and protested outside Monday over the city's support for Lorain County's new federal "urban county" designation, which locks the city into a three‑year HUD agreement. A citizen group's referendum petition has now been certified, and organizers are pushing for a censure of Mayor Kevin Corcoran while city leaders decide whether to remain in the program. 
• Morning Journal boys soccer Top of the Crop for Sept. 21 (morningjournal.com) — North Ridgeville's boys soccer team has climbed to sixth in the Morning Journal's latest "Top of the Crop" rankings with a strong 7-1-2 record. The Rangers' five‑match win streak ended in a draw at Brunswick, and they now face a key Southwestern Conference showdown against unbeaten Avon Lake this week.
