Portsmouth Asked to Add $100,000 to $650,000 Mound Park Playground Project (sciotocountydailynews.com) — Portsmouth families could soon see a safer, more accessible playground at Mound Park if City Council approves $100,000 for a rubber safety surface to complement $650,000 already raised by the Hilltop Initiative. The project, set to break ground August 4, carefully works around the park’s ancient Native American earthwork while adding ADA-compliant features so more local kids can play together.
