• Buckeye Hills announces third nine-week honor roll (wvnews.com) — Students from across Gallia, Meigs, Jackson, and Vinton counties have earned spots on Buckeye Hills Career Center’s third nine-week honor roll in Rio Grande. The list highlights dozens of local teens from Gallia Academy, River Valley, South Gallia, and several Jackson and Vinton County high schools who achieved all A’s or A’s and B’s through May 21. 
• Archery has 2 All-Americans, wins Bronze in nationals (boonevillesentinel.com) — Rio Grande (Ohio) archers figured into the national collegiate target championships, with the University of Pikeville edging Rio’s fixed pins team 206-198 for bronze and Rio’s Tanner Boyd defeating Jack DiNapoli in men’s recurve. The tournament in Lansing, Michigan also produced two All-Americans and several deep runs for Pikeville shooters.
