• Son joins firefighting father (sanduskyregister.com) — Sandusky's fire department just welcomed a new firefighter, Carson Hamons, who was sworn in by city manager John Orzech and will now serve alongside his father, Lt. Dustin Hamons. After gaining experience with Willard Fire, Carson says joining Sandusky fulfills a longtime dream to fight fires and serve the community where his family already protects residents.
