Fifth Burglary Attempt In 2 Months In Solon
This time an intruder was able to get into a Duneden Avenue home and steal more than $12,000 in cash and valuables.

SOLON, OH — More than $12,000 in cash and valuables were stolen from a Duneden Avenue home during a burglary, police said. Solon Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
The burglary took place on July 18. The residents said that between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. someone got into their home and stole both cash and property. Police estimate the loss to be about $12,700.
This is the fifth burglary or attempted burglary to hit Solon in the past two months. Two days before Independence Day, someone attempted to break into a Solon woman's apartment building. Police said her window screen was cut and partially removed from its frame. When the woman woke up, and opened her blinds, she scared off the would-be intruder.

Police said they were investigating the incident as an aggravated burglary.
Near the end of June, there were three burglaries in Solon in the span of five days. Two of the targeted homes were on Liberty Road and the third was on SOM Center Road. In one case, the suspect smashed a back window out and then climbed into the house.
