Stow Police Blotter: Assault, Burglary, Arson

Assault

  • A 29-year-old man was arrested by and charged with assault July 9 after reportedly assaulting a 25-year-old man in the 3300 block of Darrow Road. The man was released on $500 bond.

Burglary

  • A man living in the 4500 block of Diplomat Drive told police that between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. July 5, someone went into his home and stole two televisions and a video camera.

Arson

  • A man living in the 4300 block of Stow Road told police that he saw a dumpster on fire behind a property he owns July 6. The man was able to put the fire out, and the police contacted Fruth Sanitation to let them know about the fire.

Criminal Mischief

  • A woman living in the 4300 block of North Norman Drive told police that someone scribbled white and yellow spray paint on the back of her duplex sometime between July 9 and 10. Police said that the writing was low to the ground, indicating youths could have been involved.
