• Pike County massacre: Billy Wagner III asks judge for new attorneys, questions speedy trial timeline (fox19.com) — In Waverly, the final defendant in the Pike County massacre case used a Thursday hearing to ask the judge for new court-appointed attorneys and question his eight-year wait for trial. The judge said he’ll issue a written decision on the request and on whether to seal the defendant’s complaint letter, a move that could delay the January 2027 trial date. 
• Tigers improve to 3-1 in SOC with road win at Minford, shift focus to Wheelersburg (newswatchman.com) — Waverly football fans can celebrate a big 48-24 road win at Minford that moves the Tigers to 4-3 overall and 3-1 in SOC play. Quarterback Gunnar Myers and receiver Hez Nelson led a high-powered offense, and now the team turns its attention to hosting league power Wheelersburg in a key home matchup next Friday night.
